THE GENERATIONS AND THE YEARS THAT DEFINE THEM
From the Silent Generation to Generation Alpha, each generation grew up under different conditions. Different technology, culture, expectations and levels of supervision.
The generation years used in this archive are Silent Generation (1928-1945), Baby Boomers (1946-1964), Generation X (1965-1980), Xennials (approximately 1978-1983), Millennials (1981-1996), Generation Z (1997-2012) and Generation Alpha (approximately 2013-2024).
The dates tell you when they arrived.
What happened between them explains considerably more.

THE SEQUENCE MATTERS
Generations are rarely defined by values.
Mostly by what was available - and what quietly wasn't.
The Silent Generation built under pressure. Boomers expanded. Gen X started questioning. Millennials tried to make sense of it. Gen Z adapted to the system. Generation Alpha arrived after the replacement.
Placed next to each other, the pattern becomes slightly concerning.

THE GENERATIONAL TIMELINE
→ ENTRY 01 - SILENT GENERATION (1928–1945)
Built structure under pressure. No complaints recorded.
→ ENTRY 02 - BABY BOOMERS (1946–1964)
Expanded the structure. Assumed it would hold.
→ ENTRY 03 - GENERATION X (1965–1980)
Noticed the cracks early. Developed taste, skepticism, and a low tolerance for nonsense.
→ ENTRY 04 - XENNIALS (1978–1983)
Analog childhood. Digital adulthood. Classification remains unnecessarily complicated.
→ ENTRY 05 - MILLENNIALS (1981–1996)
Attempted repairs. Introduced systems to manage the decline.
→ ENTRY 06 - GENERATION Z (1997–2012)
Inherited the systems. Optimized them. No further action required.
→ ENTRY 07 - GENERATION ALPHA (2013–2024)
Arrived after the replacement. No reference point. Condition accepted as normal.
